Agile Development for CAF :
We are adopting agile methodology for one of our US based clients, who are one of the leaders in employee opinion survey processing across the globe, are coming out with a Composite Application Framework (CAF) that will fulfill their IT vision to define a framework or enterprise strategy such that a high degree of agility and interoperability exists between each individual part and each aggregation or composition of those parts with a result that is greater than the sum of the whole. We are providing them with our .Net expertise in two phases:
- Phase-I: to focus on design, implementation, and working Proofs of Concept (POC) for all necessary fundamentals to build robust applications with attributes that directly contribute to a solid foundation for moving forward
- Phase-II: to focus on creation of a tool suite that is a fully-integrated workflow-driven online system based on CAF framework to design, launch and conduct Employee Opinion Surveys and also to publish Survey Results
- Technology Stack: Windows 2003 Server, .Net Framework 2.0, ASP.Net 2005 (Visual Studio Team System), Microsoft SQL Server 2005, Oracle 10g, Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM), etc.
Incremental Prototyping for FWAS.Net :
We are adopting incremental prototyping methodology for one of our US based clients, who are one of the leaders amongst purchase card provider for truck companies in the USA, and they also provide services to obtain truck permits / plan travel routes. We are developing a .Net based Framework for Web Application Solution using .NET (FWAS.Net) for them, and re-writing a set of existing Lotus Notes based customer help-desk applications into .Net platform. We have a team of about ten professionals working in onsite-offshore model for the last six months.
Re-engineering along J2EE Route :
While we are delivering CAF and FWAS.Net for our clients on .Net, we have completed business analysis of an existing enterprise-wide extranet-facing permit order processing application that is deployed all over the USA. The next step is going to be re-development of the existing application in J2EE using WebSphere. We already have a team of architects and senior developers working at it offshore for the last couple of months.
Application Maintenance :
We have supported, from offshore, a set of web-based 3-tier Java open source (Eclipse, Hibernate, JSP, Struts, Tomcat, etc.) applications for content management and document composing, for one American software product company having strong international presence in professional quality digital printing services industry.
We are providing, in onsite-offshore mode, pre-production implementation support for sizeable mission-critical business applications, having online and batch components that are having parallel runs both on Alpha-VMS and on Windows 2003 platforms before final cut-over to production environment.
We are enhancing, in onsite-offshore mode, some web-based enterprise business applications that use Java and WebSphere, for one of our US based clients.
